Icons
eChef does not object to third-party use of the eChef “.eat” file icon icon ("Icon"), so long as the use is not disparaging and falls within the "fair dealing" or "fair use" under U.S. or other applicable International copyright laws. Providing that you adhere to the following guidelines, no further written permission is required.
The Icon may only be used in relation to eChef products or services. This means that you may not display the Icon on any non-eChef product or service including any associated packaging, documentation, advertising or other materials in a manner that suggests that such product or service is an eChef product or service, that eChef or the Icon are associated with such product or service or that eChef is affiliated with, endorses or sponsors you or any of such products or services.
When displayed, the Icon must be substantially less prominent than your trademark, trade name, logo or product name. The Icon may not be used as, or as part of, a company name.
You may not combine the Icon with any other feature including, but not limited to, other logos, words, graphics, photos, slogans, numbers, design features, or symbols. Further, you may not display your own logos or Icon or other text or graphics in the same or similar get-up, graphics, look, or trade-dress as the Icon.
The Icon must not be used in a manner that, in eChef's judgment, may diminish or otherwise damage eChef's goodwill in the Icon, including but not limited to uses which could be deemed to be obscene, pornographic, or otherwise in poor taste or unlawful, or which purpose or objective is to encourage unlawful activities.
You must place an asterisk (*) or similar notation mark beside the first use of a Mark and include the following attribution statement on the materials in which the Icon is featured.
" * Trademark(s) of eChef LLC"
This permission may be revoked at any time, in eChef's sole discretion. Use of the Icon does not create in your favor any right, title, or interest in or to the Icon and/or eChef's trademarks or copyright.
The use of any other icon present in the eChef application is not permitted.

Web Pages – Third-party use of text from www.eChefSoftware.com requires written permission from eChef, LLC.
Use of Software
Free-For-Download Software – Although certain eChef software products, files, patches and updates are available free-for-download via www.eChefSoftware.com, eChef, as copyright owner, retains its intellectual property rights to said technology.
