Installation Notes
The file download is approximately 11 MB. Along with eChef, this download includes the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2, which is required for eChef to function. If your system is lacking this component, it will be installed as a prerequisite before eChef’s installation begins.
Upgrading Notes
If you are upgrading directly from eChef 1.0, you will need to upgrade to eChef 1.1 first to update your recipe library. Please see the FAQ for details.
System Requirements
These are the combined requirements to run eChef and the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2.
- Processor: 400 MHz or faster processor; 1 GHz or faster processor recommended
- Operating System:Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or later, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.
- Memory: 96 megabytes (MB) of RAM or more; 256 megabytes (MB) or more recommended
- Hard Disk: 8 MB or more for eChef; Up to 500 MB may be required for the .NET Framework
